We all, as users, are annoyed when in the middle of a YouTube video we see an advertisement that, in 90% of the cases, we don't even see and we are just waiting for the "skip ad" button to pop up to continue (or start) with the video.

However, from the creator's point of view, it is necessary that the viewer consumes this advertising to collaborate with the support of our channels.

Ad blockers

The most selfish viewers simply install an ad blocker in their browser. In this way, they can avoid the ads appearing in their browser. Some are able to block the ads within the video and others only block the banners that are displayed on the right side (or below).

But, by doing this, they are preventing the creator from receiving that measly amount of money paid to them by YouTube for each ad that is consumed. Ultimately, they are contributing to the channel's demise.

YouTube Premium

Another alternative to avoid consuming advertising on YouTube is to become "Premium", since this is one of the benefits included in this subscription.

In addition, when a user who is YouTube Premium views a video that is monetized, even if they don't see the advertising, YouTube will give the creator a small portion of their profit for that subscription.

What are the benefits of YouTube Premium?

With a YouTube Premium subscription, you can watch ad-free videos on YouTube. In addition, you can play them in the background while using other applications and download them for offline viewing.

YouTube Music Premium is included with your YouTube Premium subscription. Download the YouTube Music app to listen to over 100 million songs ad-free, offline and with your screen locked.

You can also watch videos without ads in the YouTube Kids app.

But the truth is that the cost of YouTube Premium is really high if you are not going to take advantage of all the benefits they give us. It costs 11,99€ per month.

Wow, they went overboard!

But what if I told you that you could have YouTube Premium for a quarter?

How to get YouTube Premium for 4,2 €?

However, YouTube has the possibility to create family accounts (17,99€/month) and share YouTube Premium among its members (6 people), so that if you split the cost, it will be much cheaper for each of you (3€ per person).

This is totally legal, you are not cheating.

How to share YouTube Premium accounts?

The easiest way to find users with whom to share a YouTube Premium account, and avoid being scammed, is through specialized platforms, which charge a small fee for all the management (1.2 € / month). But it will still be a great saving for you: 4,2 vs. 11,99€..

In my case, I recommend Sharingfulis the one I usually use and where I have my YouTube Premium subscription.

How does Sharingful work?

The operation of this platform is really simple. All you have to do is register and look for a "family" to join.

Join a family

In addition to being able to join a YouTube Premium family (or group), you can also join one from Spotify, HBO, Disney+... and a variety of other streaming platforms.

  • Once inside your account, you just need to look for the category and choose the platform you want to join. For example Movies > YouTube Premium.
  • Below you will see the list with the families that still allow more members. In the case of YouTube, each family account supports up to 6 members.
  • Now, all you have to do is click on the "Submit Application" button and wait to be accepted into the family.
  • Once the administrator accepts your inclusion in the family, you will receive an email invitation to join the YouTube Premium family account.

Please note that your YouTube account and your login will remain the same as you have, and totally private. Your browsing history, your subscriptions, your memberships... everything will remain the same.

No one will have access to your YouTube accountThe only thing you do is to link your email address associated to a family group. And nothing else.

Who charges you the fee?

When you join a family, you have to put your bank card so that you can be charged for the monthly subscription.

Every month, Sharingful is going to charge you 4,20€ from your card. And from there, they will pay 3€ per transfer to the owner of the family account (administrator).

The difference (1,2€) is the benefit that this company charges for doing all the management, guaranteeing your privacy and avoiding the scam).

Problems you may encounter

It may happen that the administrator (the person who pays the 17,99€ to YouTube) stops paying one month, or cancels his group subscription.

When this happens, you will receive an email (in your GMail account associated with your YouTube channel) notifying you that the administrator has cancelled the subscription.

By default, the Sharingful system should add you to another family where there are openings, without you having to pay again.

But there are times when this does not happen automatically.

In that case, before doing anything, you should contact Sharingful support and explain to them what happened. They will manually include you in another family.

If when you see the email you panic and go to your Sharingful account and cancel your subscription, you will have lost the remaining days of the month and you will have to sign up again. So keep this in mind and don't rush.

Sharingful Discount

When you join your first family, you will receive 1,5€ as a welcome discount, as long as you have registered. from this link.

Please note that the discount will not be applied to you at the time:

  • You have already registered in the past

  1. Hi, I don't see that it is so legal and that's why I hesitate whether to take it or not. In the requirements of the Family Premium account, Youtube specifies the following:
Residing in the same domicile as the family administrator.
    How do you see it?
